Rapepublic of India!

Growing in a country of Rani Lakshamibai, Indira Gandhi, Mother Teresa and Jodhabai, I always thought in our country being a woman is a great blessing from god. Our elders/parents raised them encouraging and inculcating the feeling of being a strong, mentally independent and become bold who would fight back for her rights.

But as I grew older, the truth came dawning on me. Almost every woman in this corrupted country thought that she can handle any situation come what may. But reality today remains different. Somewhere in their hearts and minds, they feel ‘the burden, the fear, the horror’ of being a woman in this country called Bharat (Polluted India) !!

Every day or night when a rape happens, the horror slips in deeper into everyone. Going to work/college and coming back home safely is like a task achieved or a mission accomplished for women. Now a day’s women are very fear taking a cab alone at night or going for a walk in the evening in our very own society. We never know who is stalking them and who has the host for them. The constant feeling of being stalked persists whenever they step out of house. At a time when the country has been outraged by the rape of a five-year-old girl in New Delhi, one of our cabinet minister has claimed that the number of rapes in the state is “not that high”. What does he/she mean from this statement, is he/she OK with one rape for a month? If this same happen to his/her daughter, can they give same statement to the media? So much for 33% reservation!

Weird part in our nation is, law put tear gas on people who ask for justice but they don't take immediate action on those demons. Everyone is pissed off with this government laws, now government is really intend to send the accused to Saudi Arabia for better justice!

Sometimes I wish I were a 'Brain technician' so that I could get into the minds of cruel & cold blooded criminals, to understand what's wrong in their heads & then fix them, so they'd be normal again, I mean 'humanly' normal !

Hearing obnoxious comments by random people on road is a pretty common. The daily abuses from men, even from school-going boys, passing by rips them apart. Who cares about what women feel in this orthodox male-dominated society? Are they merely sex objects that everyone treats them the same way?

India has turned out to be a place of sex-starved men! They can go to any extent to satisfy their needs even if it is raping a tiny tot. We are living in Rapepublic Country not in Republic India. Shame! Trust me people, being a woman in India is not an easy job.

RIP India and dirty Politics.
